Pentatonix (or PTX) formed in 2011 in Arlington, Texas, with five members—Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola. That same year the group won the grand prize in season 3 of the NBC talent show “Sing Off.”

Its third album, “PTX Vol. II,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and landed at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 in 2013.

Together with music producer Ben Bram, it won Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella for the song “Daft Punk” at the 57th Grammy Awards.

Known for its meticulously arranged covers of pop hits as well as originals, PTX’s musical style is defined by a seamless blend of low bass and percussive vocals.

The group’s Philippine shows are being mounted by MGM Global Entertainment Productions, CCA Entertainment Productions and Midas Promotions.
